ABOUT ME
My Life in brief.... !!!!
I am G K Chaitanya, Born on May 5th 1990 at Hyderabad, Andhra pradesh. I was a pretty normal kid naughty during my childhood, but being the only child to my parents I was lorded alot, Yet put to my limits. I had great passion towards Cricket and thought of taking it as my profession. But the fate is STRANGE.
In this era of Electronics and Information Revolution driven by telecommunication, I feel a sense of pride in being so closely associated with the field of ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION. The desire to forge ahead in this field has motivated me to pursue my graduate studies.
My interest in electronics blossomed during my high school years itself, as those were the days where everything like color television , a computer , a mobile phone which became the daily uses today were totally new to me then. I just wondered how those gadgets worked and what are the components used in them etc. These speculations in my mind made me more interested in the field of electronics. Later in my Inter (10+2) I took up MPC, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as my special subjects. As mathematics was my favorite subject where I loved problem solving, logical reasoning type questions etc. Although mathematics was the subject I liked the most, I was more interested in physics which deals with the concepts of electronics and electrical, which prompted me to take up Electronics and Communication Engineering as the under graduate program.
My undergraduate education at C M ENGINEERING COLLEGE, one of the good engineering colleges affiliated to the JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (JNTUH) Hyderabad has provided me with a strong and comprehensive background in ELECTRONICS and TELECOMMUNICATIONS. The undergraduate program under JNTU aims to strike a balance between the theoretical as well as the practical aspects of the Field of Study. The curriculum included all the basic courses such as like Electrical Technology, EM waves and Transmission lines, LINEAR and DIGITAL IC Applications, DSP, VLSI DESIGN, Telecommunication Switching Systems, Cellular Mobile Communications, Wireless Communication and Network Security, Electronic measurements and instruments, Microwave and Optical/Satellite Communications etc.
My main objective during my undergraduate studies was to get an overview of various fields in Electronics and communication to identify a field of interest in which I could pursue my research career. Because of their vast application have attracted me, In particular, I am interested in VLSI DESIGN, Signal Processing, Wireless Communication and Network Security and would like to specialize in that. The electronic chip has always fascinated me. Though the size is decreasing, the sophistication of the function performed by the chip is increasing all the time. This advancement in the technology of the chip industry has inspired me to work in that industry, as a result I made up my mind to do my Major project in the stream of VLSI. I have done my major project in “VEDIC SCHOOL OF VLSI” which is the profound and the best school for VLSI in the city. I went through an interview before doing the project. I worked on the project “Implementation of Memory Built in Self Repair (MBISR) For SRAM on FPGA” which gave me a fantastic experience and exposure to what exactly is VLSI. But as for my MS degree, I would remain open to other topics as well. I have performed reasonably well in my undergraduate courses. It has been a challenge to strike the right balance between academics and extra-curricular activities. I believe that the grades secured should not be considered in an absolute sense.
Apart from my curriculum, I found various extra-curricular activities to take part in, which gave me an opportunity to enhance my communication and inter-personal skills. Some of them include organizing the events in the technical fest, taking part in the organizing of seminars. I participated in Poster as well as Paper Presentations held at various National Level Technical Consortiums. I discovered that I was particularly interested in team activities. As apart of my undergraduate curriculum, I worked on various mini projects, workshops held in my College. I am an active member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and organized Technical Quiz in REGNANTZ (ece), which is the technical fest conducted by our department in the College.
I am confident that, my higher studies at Florida International University, under the mentorship of your experienced and well qualified faculty and with the right environment and research facilities I would perform to the best of my abilities and acquire skills that will help me realize my dreams.
